Tohu Vase - Mangōpare 2

This bud vase is part of the new tohu series made from uku/clay from Aotearoa. This vase hosts the Mangōpare tohu which represents strength, courage and resilience. A bud vase is the perfect size for small displays of te taiao in your whare.

The tohu on this vase is made using a technique called nerikomi. Nerikomi is a Japanese hand-building technique that layers multiple clay types and or colours and through slicing and rearranging creates intricate patterns.
