Tohu Ipu - Pātiki - black

This ipu is part of the new tohu series made from uku/clay from Aotearoa. This ipu hosts the Pātiki tohu which is often used as a symbol for abundance, but also as fuel for your imagination and dreams. AThis ipu (box) is perfect for holding taonga like jewellery, but really, anything precious and small.

The tohu on this ipu is made using a technique called nerikomi. Nerikomi is a Japanese hand-building technique that layers multiple clay types and or colours and through slicing and rearranging creates intricate patterns.

There is only one of this style available.

• Approximately 7cm across, 5cm high
• Aotearoa stoneware clay with clear glaze
• Wipe clean with damp cloth
