Nerikomi workshops by Avara Studio! 🌟
Make your own plate or bowl decorated with your own nerikomi creations.
Saturday March 29
Afternoon session: 1pm - 3.30pm
Ūkaipō Creative Space (249 Symonds Street, Eden Terrace, Auckland 1010)
Um, what's nerikomi?
Nerikomi is a Japanese hand-building technique that combines different colours of clay in order to create patterns. Take a look at the photos of the previous workshop and the creations they made!
New to clay?
These workshops are perfect for beginners as well as experts! Come along even if you've never touched clay before, or if you're a clay person who wants to learn a new skill. I'll be teaching some of the nerikomi 101 patterns (checks, stripes, and marbling) or for those who want more of a challenge I can talk you through making more complex patterns (like flowers!)
