Kapanga - Ipu Kākano

This ipu (vessel) is perfect for holding jewellery, but really, anything you consider taonga or precious.

The Ipu Kākano range highlights the power of kākano (seeds) and their ability to hold generations of knowledge and learning. The interior whakairo pattern references the kiri (bark) of rākau (tree) symbolising growth to come.

This piece is made from uku (clay) from Kapanga Coromandel Town near Driving Creek.
