The Ipu Kākano range highlights the power of kākano (seeds) and their ability to hold generations of knowledge and learning. The interior whakairo pattern references the kiri (bark) of rākau (tree) symbolising growth to come.

This piece is made from uku (clay) from Driving Creek, Kapanga, Coromandel Town.
